Let me first start off by saying, I was SUPER excited about trying this place out. Staying at a nearby hotel for our short trip to Holiday a World, I told my wife we HAD to have dinner here one night. We ended up going on our first night in town and as soon as we walked inside, I was impressed with the environment. Very spacious, cool decor, and nice area for brewing. After sitting down we began looking at the menu and everything looked good! Our daughter and her friend got a chicken wrap and chicken tenders, my wife chose the wedge salad, and I , after long debate, decided to go with the signature black and brew burger with a side of broccoli casserole. After finishing our pretzel and beer cheese appetizer, which I did enjoy, our main dishes arrived. Everything looked ok until I began to eat my burger and broccoli casserole. The burger was very well done and burnt, and the broccoli was cold as if it had been sitting out for some time. After sending the food back, which I rarely do, I watched my family finish their meals and then had to remind my waitress that I was still waiting on my food. When it finally came back out, it was definitely an improvement, however, I wish I could've enjoyed eating with the rest of my family. To top it off, I don't typically ask for handouts or freebies of any kind, but to get our check without any type of discount or anything at all, was a major disappointment. I hope this was just one of those off days for them but I fear not. Disappointing dinner experience to say the least.

Diamond in the Rough. Stopped in to eat and get a drink after a winding motorcycle ride from French Lick. Great atmosphere, friendly servers, lots of TV's, and two bars! Although only one was open in the afternoon. Had an excellent burger and a wedge salad. Highly recommended as a point of destination.

Awesome!!!! This is a must try for anyone who likes a cool atmosphere, and a GREAT burger. I have been here a couple of times and had the Black & Brew burger, and it is top notch. The atmosphere is really laid back. Wait staff is friendly and fast. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back and try something new.

We visited the Pour Haus after a day at Holiday World. Our hotel was in Tell City, since we were unfamiliar with the area we asked for suggestions from the locals. We are sooo glad we chose to eat here! The atmosphere was amazing! Our boys got a kick out of the urinals made out of kegs. We had the pulled pork nachos for an appetizer and they were Outstanding!!!! We each had a different meal, all left full and satisfied. We will make this part of our future trips for sure!

I actually really like this place. When my mom made me come back home to Spencer County for my birthday, my family brought me here. I got a blooming onion with the sauce, a salad and some beer. All three were amazing and it definitely left me feeling full. My mom and her boyfriend got these giant pork chops that looked absolutely looked delicious. What was great about this place is that they give you very generous portions to make sure you get more bang for your buck. The architecture of this place is so cool. I love the brick walls and the industrial looking ceilings. It's cool to take an old building like that and transform it into something like a restaurant. It gives it a great character.

Such a top shelf establishment for the location...type of place you would find in a bigger city. The owners have gone above and beyond when it comes to decor, table settings, TV's galore and just details overall in this beautiful place! Completely on point! Along with the details in the service and setting are the dozens of beer choices on tap...40 or so to be specific, as well as full bar service on two different sides of the restaurant. However, the do not yet have their homebrews which is surprising given the fact they have a full blown and absolutely beautiful brewery inside...I guess it's something to look forward to! They also host live music weekly and have an impressive outdoor arrangement for summer which I'm looking forward to. As for the food, it's good but not great. A fairly extensive menu but not sure the cooking times have been perfected yet. My Mahi-mahi was over-cooked and not very well seasoned. Just bland. I would still consider it above-average for the area. A must-go!

Business lunch here. Beautiful day and it was nice to sit in an open space like this for lunch. My chef salad was pretty typical in taste but I did appreciate that the elements were chopped small enough so that I could gracefully eat the salad. (Some places have huge chunks of meat...not pretty.) There were a lot of people enjoying lunch so I'd guess this is a very popular spot in town. The beer menu looked impressive, but I was working so no beer for me. I'd definitely go back and try another selection.

Overall, good place to eat. Pulled pork was really good. Broccoli Cheese casserole had too many end pieces, no florets but the flavor was good. Good Mac n cheese, but not special. My son had the Triple P burger and he inhaled it! He loved it and it did look good. Service was pleasant but not excellent. Huge beer and wine selection. Cool atmosphere and building. Lots of waiting areas, which was nice. Pretzels were really good too. Will come again and try other things.

Travelled almost 2 hours to this place. Specifically went for a concert on the outdoor patio. I'll get back to that. This place has everything I look for in a great restaurant & bar. The food and beer selection are good. The staff are friendly (especially the cute waitresses and female bartenders). The atmosphere is outstanding. The outdoor patio had a very well put together stage for the concert. The sound quality was more than decent as well. The concert I went to see was from The Southern Rock Revival. They are sort of a supergroup made up of members of other reasonably well known bands (Locash Cowboys, Cage/Focx, Cinderella, Beautiful Creatures). Their nearly two hour set of southern rock classics was great. However, the opening band called Rukkus were terrible. They played a little too long for an opener with such a lousy and poorly executed list of songs. The overall quality of the show was dragged way down thanks to them. The cover charge was $15. That was definitely too much. I know that Black Oak Arkansas recently played here for only $10; which would have been fair for this show as well. Because of the distance from and territory I have to travel through to get there, I will not likely be a frequent customer of this place. However, I definitely recommend it and am likely to return if the entertainment is of enough interest to me.

Had not been back for a while and was sorry to see that they have narrowed down their menu and most of the things I liked did not make the cut. That said... It is still one one the more interesting and good places to eat in the area. Tonight's highlight for me was the dessert of the day (not menu item) BlackBerry Cobbler w/ ice cream...good, warm and Yummy! Their microbrewery was still not serving...but we were told it will be next weekend. Also of note their Summer Outdoor Concert Series guest for Sept 26 will be David Allen Coe. Will definitely be back...to see the continuing metamorphosis of this establishment.

Great service. Great food. Kids welcome. Good music. Little pricey but totally worth it. Benches are enough to fit like 6 people in a booth, which is awesome if you have kids.

We visited the Pour Haus during the annual Tell City Schweizer Fest. The newly opened restaurant has a decent selection of 36 draft beers (a fair amount of craft) and decent selection of bottles and liquor. The restaurant is in what used to be an old machine shop, and it makes for cool industrial look. The pretzels and cheese were as good as pretzels and beer cheese can be. Looking forward to coming back after their brewery is operational. That will probably bump it up to 5 stars. It was also awesome that a pint of Bells Porter was only $3.25!

Excellent burger! Good atmosphere. Good place to watch a ball game. I would definitely eat here again.

Pour Haus should be renamed Poor Excuse. Service was poor from the time we arrived at the hostess stand till we left. Not crowded, but waited about 10 minutes for the hostess to come to the stand, and only greeted with, "What can I do for you?" I guess I thought the assumption would be for to ask how many then take us to a table. Waited about 10 minutes for waitress to arrive at our table, but she did find time to ask other diners if they would like dessert. When asked what we would like to drink, she immediately started telling us about the beer menu having 35 different beers and if interested, she would bring us the beer menu. Wait a minute - the name is Pour Haus - wouldn't you expect the beer menu to already be on the table since it is the main offering? This was followed by the soft drink choices and tea choices. We only wanted ice water with lemon at the moment, and were rebuffed with "Then why did you let me go through all of that?" We never had the opportunity to tell her ahead of her dissertation. I ordered the club sandwich which could have the Texas toast substituted with wheat. I ordered it on wheat. The sandwich came with steak fries. Cost was $8.99 or $9.99 (don't remember exactly). About 10 minutes after placing order, I was asked if I wanted it hot or cold. Really? 10 minutes later? I requested hot. Another 10-15 minutes later, she brought our orders. The club sandwich was on white Texas toast instead of wheat. I couldn't believe they tried to pass this off as a club sandwich. It was cut in half. Opened it to find one slice of packaged-style turkey and one of ham. Looked like it was round and folded over. Turkey was on left side and ham on right side. Keep in mind this was the amount of meat on entire sandwich. One small piece of bacon for whole sandwich and a partial piece of cheese for whole sandwich, with one piece of lettuce and one thin slice of tomato. And as far as serving it hot? It nay have been at one point, but only the toast. From across the room, the waitress said she'd bring some more water. Didn't get it till end of meal which was the only time she checked on us to see if meals were okay. Will not give them another dime of my money. This was some pretty expensive toast.
